Classic Autovents

are out of production and out of stock, having been replaced by the Hygroseal HV30C

H50

Fits all radiators with horizontal 1/2”BSP tappings.

With the installer in mind, the H50 incorporates speed-fit PTFE self-cutting threadseal, eliminating the requirement for PTFE tape to install the valve while providing a tamperproof fitting.

V50

Fits all radiators with vertical 1/2”BSP tappings.

EPDM O-ring seal.

Please Note:  The H50 & V50 valves fit 1/2" BSP radiator tappings only. For other sizes see our Micro valve.    To check your radiator thread size – see Q&A’s.

Because the Classic Aladdin Autovent is operated by radiator temperature fluctuation, the valve can be smaller than conventional type valves yet still provide positive shut-off. The secret of the Aladdin valve lies in its use of a bi-metallic disc which is used in conjunction with a miniature float - the patented 'dual-valve' design.

The minimum size of a conventional ‘float on a lever’ (miniature ballcock) valve is severely restricted.  If the lever is shortened the float mass has to be increased; conversely, if the float mass is reduced lever length has to be increased to maintain true  functionality.

Whereas the thermally activated disc in the Aladdin valve applies a powerful force to operate the valve enabling it to be miniaturised.

The float design in the Classic Aladdin valve still allows automatic priming of a newly installed system (removing the requirement to individually bleed radiators when performing this task), but unlike any other float valve the Classic Aladdin has a unique, automatic safety cap that shuts down the valve (within 5 seconds) in the event of failure.  The valve will then automatically reset itself, often continuing to operate successfully without any maintenance required (whereas a particle in the valve seat of a conventional valve will require manual cleaning).
